Golf Putting Mat
With the winter season coming up soon, I wanted to take a look at a golf putting mat, so I could relay the information onto you. These putting aids are ideal for the off season, when you can't get outside to practice. There's nothing better than brewing a cup of java and getting out your putting mat and practicing.
I have had a couple of these mats in the past, but I must say they have gotten better. There are several different variations depending on your price range and budget.

I went into our local Nevada Bob's golf store and set up shop. I know the guys in there (hey Bob!), so they let me open up a couple of the putting mats to try. In going through them, I found that some of the turf was not putter-friendly, and the ball rolled horribly.
The auto-retrievers were nice, but they were the ones that had the worst turf. The one that was acceptable was the Izzo 3x9 Putting Mat (see picture above). I liked it so much...I bought it (sorry honey - that's to my wife)! Being priced at $49.99 didn't break the bank, and it's already set up in my garage...so there's no turning back.!
You can get it on the net at www.inthehole.com and www.practicerange.com.
If putting is not your only vice, and you need to fix your golf slice, continue on!
